Does ShipBob have a fulfilment centre in Ohio?

While we don’t have a fulfilment centre in Ohio at this time, ShipBob has fulfilment centres located a few hundred miles away from Ohio in the Midwest. We’re able to provide a relatively fast turnaround to Ohio-based customers when fulfilling orders from these locations. Can ShipBob ship to Ohio?

Yes! ShipBob can ship to Ohio from any of its fulfilment centres. 

How do shipping zones affect me in Ohio?

Shipping zones are determined by the distance a package travels in transit, so end customers in Ohio will experience short transit times when using fulfilment centres in the Midwest. When orders come from Midwest and East Coast fulfilment centres, customers in Ohio will be in shipping zones 1-4. When using fulfilment centres on the West Coast, end customers in Ohio will experience longer transit times because they’re in shipping zone 8. 

ShipBob has several fulfilment centres across the US to help brands offer fast, cost-effective shipping to customers, so brands can even split their inventory for bi-coastal or multi-regional coverage that reduces average shipping zones (and transit times and shipping costs).

Do I need a fulfilment centre located in Ohio?

While many brands think they need a fulfilment centre in their backyard, the truth is they should follow the data and pick a location based on where their customers are located to keep shipping costs and transit times as low as possible. For example, if your customers are distributed across several regions of the country, being more centrally located or near highly populous areas can help you deliver to more customers more efficiently. 

Once your order volume justifies it, you can split your inventory across multiple locations and have orders shipped from the closest location each time. ShipBob helps brands understand their data when getting started and provides analytics to customers on how their customer geographic locations change over time to show average savings, shipping zones, and transit time reductions if you change your fulfilment centre locations.

Does ShipBob have plans to open an Ohio fulfilment centre?
