Finding the right third-party logistics (3PL) provider to manage hair care fulfillment is an important step in growing your ecommerce business. You’ll want to partner a 3PL that’s reliable, transparent, and trustworthy. If you’re looking for the ideal 3PL to partner with, here’s what you need to know.

What is hair care fulfillment?

Hair care fulfillment refers to the process of picking, packing, and shipping hair care products like salon supplies and equipment, shampoo, conditioner, highlighter, volumizer, extensions, hair pieces, and more.

How ShipBob helps hair care ecommerce brands

Direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands have been on a rise with the evolution of technology, end-to-end ecommerce solutions, and the growing ecommerce market. This is where a 3PL like ShipBob can help. ShipBob is the best-in-class ecommerce fulfillment option for growing hair care ecommerce businesses.

We offer a global fulfillment network with built-in inventory and order management software, including an advanced data and analytics reporting that helps you make strategic decisions for your hair care business to cut shipping costs and improve transit times. Challenges of hair care fulfillment

One of the challenges that a growing hair care ecommerce business faces is keeping up with a growing order volume while finding time to properly store inventory and fulfill orders. Fortunately, ShipBob provides warehousing, fulfillment, packaging options, and automated shipping, so you can spend less time on logistics operations

ShipBob’s hair product fulfillment process

Efficient last-mile delivery and order accuracy are two essentials in building customer satisfaction. ShipBob lets you outsource fulfillment and warehousing, so your company can focus more on product development, marketing, and customer relationship. Although we take care of all things logistics, as a business owner, you still have full visibility into the process through ShipBob’s dashboard.

ShipBob’s proprietary technology integrates with all leading ecommerce platforms, so you can automatically send new orders to the closest fulfillment center to be picked, packed, and shipped quickly.

How ShipBob works

Getting started with ShipBob is easy. Once you sync your online store with ShipBob’s technology, here’s what happens next:

1. Order is placed

The order is sent to a ShipBob fulfillment center. If you split inventory across multiple locations, the order will automatically get sent to the location closest to the order’s destination.

2. ShipBob picks and packs the order

Our 3PL technology automatically gives the picker information on where to find the items in our warehouse. The picker receives a packing slip with the items, quantities, and storage locations at the facility to collect the ordered products from their respective locations.

3. Order gets shipped

ShipBob partners with major shipping carriers like USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. ShipBob offers faster and more affordable shipping options, a large and growing international geographical footprint, from which you can choose to store your inventory at one or more of our warehouses.
