What does ShipBob’s virtual interviewing experience look like?
As a remote-first company, ShipBob has adopted a virtual interview process. Here’s what you can expect during the online interview experience:
- Connect with a ShipBob Talent Partner to discuss your background.
- Meet with a Hiring Manager to align on cultural values, skill set, and more.
- Complete an assessment or case study, depending on the role.
- Participate in a panel-style interview with potential peers and stakeholders.
- Gain access to interview feedback, and if selected, receive an offer letter!
ShipBob utilizes Microsoft Teams as our virtual interview platform. In addition, ShipBob uses Metaview, an AI notetaker, to record and transcribe interviews, enabling our team to focus fully on engaging with you, rather than taking notes. If selected for an interview, you will receive a disclosure and opt-out link if you do not wish to have Metaview record the interview. Metaview does not make any decisions regarding your application. Participation is optional, and opting out has no bearing on your interview outcome.
When interviews are scheduled, a Talent Partner will send you a Teams video link, along with tips on how best to prepare for your interview at ShipBob. Our Talent Partners aim to provide constant, transparent communication throughout the entire interview process.
How does ShipBob ensure work-life harmony for employees?
ShipBob’s wellness strategy allows employees to intentionally take a step back when they need it to create space for their overall well-being. ShipBob has enacted various efforts to encourage a positive work-life harmony including quarterly wellness days, flexible time off (employees are encouraged to take at least 10 PTO days a year), and paid holidays.
How does ShipBob communicate with applicants?
At ShipBob, the safety and trust of our job applicants are top priorities. To help you identify legitimate communications from our team, please note the following:
- ShipBob will never contact candidates initially through WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or similar social media platforms. All official communications will come from our @shipbob.com email addresses or via a reputable recruitment platform.
- ShipBob will never ask job applicants to pay any fees or provide financial details as part of the hiring process. If anyone asks you for money or personal financial information on behalf of ShipBob, it is not a legitimate request.
- All applications should be submitted through our official website or via a verified job board.
- We do not conduct any part of the application process through informal chat platforms.
