SuperSpeed Golf, LLC sells golf training aids trusted by more than 700 touring professional golfers and thousands of instructors and amateurs. The SuperSpeed Golf Training System is the perfect way to add up to 30 more yards to your drive or increase the speed and power of your golf swing by 5% to 8% in as little as 4-6 weeks of regular practice.

Since 2014, SuperSpeed Golf has been at the forefront of increasing golf distance and consistency by providing a simple, easy, and effective way to increase club head speed for all players, ranging from amateurs to the best players in the world.

Their products are developed and based on the scientifically-proven concept of OverSpeed Training, where you add or reduce resistance, and quickly add it back to retrain the way the muscle or body responds to the brain, so you swing faster.

The company was created as a side project by people who ran a golf teaching academy in the Midwest and also inspired by presentations for elite quarterbacks and pitchers by Tom House, who pioneered the concept of overload/underload techniques.

SuperSpeed Golf applied those concepts to the golf world, and sales took off.

Today, you can see their products used by the best players in the word on professional golf tours. Pros including Phil Mickelson even credit the system for helping increase their swing speed.

SuperSpeed Golf’s products include graphite SuperSpeed sticks, fitted with increasingly heavier weights at the tip, which come with training manuals that recommend tips for success.

We sat down with Harley Abrams, Operations Manager of SuperSpeed Golf, LLC to learn more about this global brand and their explosive growth.

Evolving our global footprint amid Brexit

Our customers are all over the world in dozens of countries, wherever people play golf, and we are nearly doubling our customer base each year.

We had a distribution point in the UK in London, but anticipated that cross-border shipping issues would become more prevalent with Brexit pending, as we realized a good chunk of our customer base in the EU wouldn’t be able to as easily receive shipments from the UK, as it may be more expensive with longer shipping times.

We reached out to ShipBob, as we became more concerned with Brexit and wanted a fulfillment center in the European Union.

Compared to other warehouses we’ve worked with, ShipBob processes orders so quickly to get them out the door faster.

ShipBob’s software

ShipBob’s front-end software was the primary decision-making factor for me in choosing them over other fulfillment solutions.

Their software is so simple and intuitive, especially as so many 3PLs have either bad or no front-facing software, making it impossible to enter orders, keep track of what’s leaving or entering the warehouse.

On the supply chain side, I just throw in what we placed at the factory into a WRO in the ShipBob dashboard, and I can see how many units we have on-hand, what’s incoming, what’s at docks, and so on. I can see all of those numbers in a few seconds, and it makes life so much easier.

Working with the ShipBob team has been really good. Our Account Executive in the US, Kevin, has been super helpful every step of the way. Samantah Martin, our Implementation Specialist was with us even longer than planned, because our inventory was getting delayed, but she was continually always available on the setup side. The software is great, but the people have made it even better.

What’s next?

Worldwide, we grew 50% last year, 100% the year prior, and 200% the year prior to that. We have no plans to slow down, and we’re looking to expand into new markets with ShipBob.

Our organic growth has been great. We’ve never paid a single cent for celebrity endorsements; people just buy our product and we’ve seen such great adoption on the professional level. It validates that our scientifically-validated and peer-reviewed product works.

We recently bought our international distribution in Canada and Europe from individual partners who were running it before, and we even brought on their employees full-time to our team. We’re taking a more direct approach to products, expanding internationally a great deal, and taking on ownership overseas as we expect explosive growth. ShipBob will be a big part of that.
