With Shopify Plus, these brands are able to streamline their marketing, advertising, customer service, ecommerce warehousing, order fulfilment to create an end-to-end ecommerce solution that enables growth.

For instance, ShipBob is a Shopify Plus Certified App partner for Shopify fulfilment and shipping, which helps fast-growing brands on Shopify Plus streamline ecommerce fulfilment to reduce logistics costs and automate shipping.

In this article, get inspired by great examples of fast-growing online stores that use Shopify Plus to grow their brand and automate their logistics operations.

6 examples of successful Shopify Plus websites

Check out some of our favorite brands that have seen a lot of amazing growth on their Shopify Plus websites. Each of the Shopify Plus examples below has been able to scale quickly and effectively by leveraging the right logistics partner.

1. Touchland

Touchland offers a pocket-sized hand sanitizer spray that fits perfectly in pockets and purses.

Already becoming a renowned brand, when the pandemic hit, Touchland grew even faster. Within weeks, there was more than 34,000 customers waitlisted on their Shopify Plus store, Touchland.com. Since their store was already integrated with ShipBob’s technology, their Shopify fulfilment process didn’t slow down and they were able to grow their business 1,200% in a matter of weeks.

“ShipBob has been a great ally as they have fulfilment centres all over the US, facilitating a 2-3 day delivery time for any customer in the US.”

Andrea Lisbona, Founder & CEO of Touchland

2. memobottle

memobottle creates eco-friendly waterbottles with a unique flat design that allows them to fit where round bottles can’t.

After launching their brand on Kickstarter, memobottle’s founders mostly sold through B2B channels until the COVID-19 pandemic pushed them to open their Shopify Plus store. An ecommerce presence has enabled memobottle to reach customers in over 70 countries and to grow 600% growth in the time since.

“Prior to ShipBob, we were working with several different 3PLs, each in a different country with a different WMS at each site. It was so inefficient for our staff to change between different platforms. The user experience of the ShipBob platform is a really big plus — it’s very easy for both our customer support agents and us to use. Rather than a 3PL that doubles in tech, ShipBob is a tech-based company that has improved the fulfilment experience. All the integrations in the ShipBob App Store is another big draw, talking directly to the tools we use like Shopify Plus, Klaviyo, and even Gorgias, which is a huge time-saver for our customer experience agents to get status updates, see tracking, quickly view and click through to previous orders without jumping out of Gorgias.”

3. Our Place

The creators of the viral Always Pan, Our Place is a kitchenware and cookware brand committed to making cooking easier through sleek yet versatile equipment.

The brand has not only established a strong retail presence through partnerships with Target, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and Saks, but also hosts an incredibly successful Shopify Plus website. By distributing their inventory across 4 of ShipBob’s fulfilment centre, Our Place is able to get these orders to the customer’s door in just 2.5 days.

“Being near our customers wasn’t just essential for delivering an exceptional customer experience; it also significantly boosted our revenue. Our Place’s products are readily gifted, which means that each day we can ship orders before a major holiday translates into over half a million dollars in revenue. Pre-ShipBob, the last day customers could place orders and receive them by Christmas was around the 15th or 16th of December. Now, we can extend that to the 19th or 20th, confident that even with cost-effective ground shipping, we’ll deliver the items in time for the holiday. This extension allows us to capture an additional 4 or 5 days of revenue, totaling over two million dollars.”

Ali Shahid, COO of Our Place

4. Barefaced

Barefaced launched in 2019 with a simple philosophy – “Less but Better” – and the goal of creating a skincare line that was effective, but simple to follow and maintain.

They moved to Shopify Plus after just one year of business, and now leverage an integrated tech stack, a subscription program, and custom packaging to delight their DTC customers with a smooth, curated delivery experience.

“Logistics can be so challenging and tedious, and it takes up so much time. We’re such a small team and we all wear so many different hats, so we needed a fulfilment partner that was able to take care of the logistics piece for us. It’s great that we found ShipBob and have them as our partner. In order for us to do what ShipBob does, we would have to hire 10 or more employees. It’s crazy to think how much ShipBob does.”

Callie Tivnan, E-commerce Manager, and Christina Williams, Customer Success Manager at Barefaced

5. Dossier

Dossier designs perfume using the same ingredients as top fragrances to craft quality products that are still affordable. Since opening their Shopify store in 2019, Dossier has used ShipBob to track inventory levels and ship over $100,000 orders in 2020 alone.

We have a Shopify store but do not use Shopify to track inventory. In terms of tracking inventory, we use ShipBob for everything — to be able to track each bottle of perfume, what we have left, and what we’ve shipped, while getting a lot more information on each order. The analytics are super helpful.

Ines Guien, Vice President of Operations at Dossier

6. Wholesome Goods

Wholesome Goods is a collective of 7 direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands and strives to provide a better retail experience for shoppers.

With over 3,000 SKUs to juggle, Wholesome Goods relies on Shopify to host and manage its various brands and their websites – and the strategy is paying off. Each brand sees $1M in revenue in the first 6 months of launching on average, and Wholesome Goods sees a 50% reduction in delivery times by distributing inventory across ShipBob’s fulfilment network.

“There are a lot of products under the Wholesome Goods umbrella. We have a diverse group of products – some items are fragile, some products are ingested – some are for humans, some are for animals. We also have bulky items that tend to be heavier. Managing fulfilment for all of these different types of products wasn’t something that was going to be sustainable for us on our own. While we probably could have figured out how to do fulfilment on our own, it’s a relief to have the right partner in place.”

Cesar Contreras, Head of Supply Chain of Wholesome Goods

Shopify Plus: building the best online stores

Shopify Plus is a very common ecommerce platform for growing enterprise-level brands. Here are some of the top advantages of having a Shopify Plus site.

Simplified pricing

Shopify Plus enterprise-level pricing starts at a $2,000 flat-fee per month. There are no fees for hosting, maintenance, or customer support. Account management is included.

Fully hosted SaaS platform

Like any SaaS tool, Shopify Plus is a fully hosted ecommerce platform, which means the customer doesn’t have to host and manage it themselves. Additionally, there are already backend integrations built to tools like ShipBob.

Low maintenance websites

Once your Shopify Plus site is up and running, it’s very easy to maintain. Compared to ecommerce platforms like Magento that are far more technical and difficult to maintain, Shopify Plus requires very little maintenance and work by the store owners.

Ecommerce personalisation

Customisation on an ecommerce store is becoming the norm. Shopify Plus helps brands cater to customers’ specific needs and provide unique one-to-one interactions, from product recommendations to personalised emails.

Built for growth

Shopify Plus helps businesses scale by handling high traffic spikes and major sales without crashing. Enterprise-level brands need more support, automation, and infrastructure than a regular Shopify store does, as the number of visitors, integrations, and sales increase.

Shopify Plus + ShipBob: the winning tech stack

As consumer expectations shift, DTC brands are expected to have the same operations and fulfilment at their disposal as global retail giants. As a Shopify Plus Certified App partner, online brands powered by Shopify Plus partner with ShipBob to reduce shipping costs, optimise transit times, use delivery to beat customer expectations, and own more of the customer relationship by providing an Amazon-like fulfilment experience.

“The Shopify Plus Certified App program is designed to meet the advanced requirements of the world’s fastest growing brands. We’re happy to welcome ShipBob to the program, bringing their insight and experience in fulfilment to the Plus merchant community.”

Loren Padelford, GM of Revenue at Shopify Plus
