We’re excited to announce our latest partnership and integration with Sendcloud, Europe’s top shipping platform. Through this integration, ShipBob customers that store inventory in ShipBob’s fulfillment centers in the EU and UK will have greater flexibility in the shipping options available to reach shoppers via a greater range of international and national carriers.

“Flexibility is everything when it comes to shipping in Europe and the UK. Trying to reach all customers in a single country, never mind across the whole of Europe, via one carrier is simply not competitive or financially viable. There is no one-size-fits-all option. With the added range of carriers that Sendcloud brings, ShipBob customers will continue to benefit from the most cost competitive options on the market.

As we continue to expand our global footprint, with new sites opening across the UK, Europe, and Rest of World. Our customers will be safe in the knowledge that not only will they be physically closer to their shoppers, to reduce last mile delivery distances and costs. But they will also have the right mix of local delivery services available to them.”

Enda Breslin, GM Europe at ShipBob

Sendcloud’s shipping automation platform connects with more than 80 carriers. With carrier tracking fully integrated, both ShipBob customers and shoppers alike will benefit from real-time visibility of their parcels’ entire journey.

“Customer expectations are higher than ever when it comes to shipping. At checkout, high delivery costs or lack of flexible options are a sure way to kill conversion rates. The partnership not only gives ShipBob sellers the delivery services they need today, but also leaves them safe in the knowledge they have a future-proof solution as we add new carriers.”

Jonnie Cartmill, Chief Sales Officer at Sendcloud

Findings from ShipBob’s recent survey of 750 UK-based ecommerce entrepreneurs revealed that shipping challenges remain top of mind for many sellers, with:

  • 45% stating that expensive and slow shipping options remain their biggest challenge to expand beyond the UK
  • 45% planning to expand their business across Europe in the next 3 years
  • 23% planning to expand their business in North America in the next 3 years

It’s clear that brands need an optimal mix of shipping options to tackle these challenges.

“Not only does the partnership provide our sellers with cost savings and faster delivery speeds, it also provides them with the added benefit of contingency.

As carrier costs change over time, and as performance can fluctuate across the seasons and particularly during the busy run up to Christmas, our customers will be safe in the knowledge that we will always give them the most cost-competitive and reliable delivery services in the market.”

Enda Breslin, GM Europe at ShipBob

Sendcloud’s research of over 8,000 consumers in 8 major European markets revealed that 71% of European customers want flexibility with their delivery options. This partnership will enable ShipBob’s sellers to provide greater flexibility and build a competitive advantage.

“Right from the start, it felt like a great fit with ShipBob. The energy and passion that both teams have was clear, while bringing together the best in shipping and fulfillment to give brands across the globe the best options in delivery experiences. We look forward to supporting ShipBob’s growth here in Europe and across the world.”
